BIO: King played his minor hockey for the Englehart Ings, named after onetime Leaf goalie and a regular vacationer, Peter Ing, in this small north Ontario town. Wilf Paiment also hails from the Eng. King met the future Mrs. Hockey, then Melanie Hurley at an Irish studies class at York U. He hung around long enough to play hockey at her future husband's stag - that would be Mr. Hockey - and landed a regular spot ladling out hits and hard slap shots on the Stokes defense. Refuses to be sucked in by any teammates attempts to make jokes at his expense invoking legendary funnyman Allan King.
